Golden Girl

I've been taking a much more minimalistic and simple approach to fashion, beauty, and makeup. I really love a more natural, easy, and effortless look and this also applies to the jewelry and accessories I've been adding to my outfits lately. The ever so sweet Riccilee sent me over these beautiful necklaces and a gold bracelet that work perfectly with everything I wear and compliment every outfit! Casual Glam!

These photos were taken last week when it was a little warmer. I finally caved and bought myself a pair of boyfriend denim shorts. I haven't worn denim shorts since I was a teen and I'm definitely a little late on the trend considering it's now fall lol but I'm sure the trend will stick around for awhile!

BFF Nights with Piperlime, Popsugar, and Aimee Song!

Last Wednesday I attended BFF Nights hosted by Aimee Song of Song of Style at Piperlime in Soho! There was champagne, hor d'oeuvres, free tote bags, and so many amazing shoes! I particularly fell in love with a pair of blue SCHUTZ sandals with gold detailing that I've been seeing on so many girls lately. While looking through the racks of clothes, I picked out a white leather top that caught my eye and it happened to be one of Aimee's top picks! hehe There was such a long line of girls waiting to chat with her so I didn't get a chance to say hello but I still had an awesome time nonetheless and I can't wait until she hosts another event in NYC! I wore my favorite black jumpsuit from ASOS and one of my favorite pairs of earrings from Forever 21. Hope you all enjoy your week!

Crop Tops and Top Knots!

I really really realllly love wide leg pants! I think they are so chic and comfortable and I always love to pair them with crop tops. I've been wearing this Forever 21 crop top quite a bit lately. I love the high neck and since it's black it works with everything. I've been wearing my hair in a bun/topknot and a ponytail a lot lately since it's been extremely warm out this week. ABSOLUT Lunch Break at Marquee!

On Friday afternoon, my sister and I went to the ABSOLUT Lunch Break Event held at Marquee. I love these lunch break events because I think an hour of dancing, free drinks, and free lunch is pretty hard to come by these days especially during your lunch break in the early afternoon on a weekday lol The event is exactly an hour long from 12:30pm-1:30pm and they are held about every few months. My sister and I left with a brown paper bag filled with PB&J sandwiches, bananas, and KIND bars! The perfect midday snack to get us through the afternoon! We headed on up to the High Line afterward to take a little walk and enjoy our lunch. My jacket, shirt, and shorts are all from H&M and my strappy sandals are from GoJane. Faux on Faux

I always love taking a walk over by the Hudson River just to take in the scenery. It's a great place to just relax, especially during the summer. Over the weekend, I stopped by to take some photos by the Intrepid. I threw my cropped faux fur jacket over my faux leather jacket to keep me extra warm. I bought this fur at a Necessary Clothing boutique in Soho about 3 or 4 years ago and it's definitely one of my favorite pieces in my closet.

Go Bulls!

On Friday I had a few errands to run during the day before I attended the Bulls vs. Knicks game in the evening with my boyfriend and his buddies. My boyfriend is really good friends with Joakim Noah so he always gets tickets to all his games and stays after to chat with him at the end. I wore my beanie and shades in the daytime and decided to go beanie-less for the game and fix my hair up a little. It was a total waste of time, however, because my hair fell flat within five minutes of leaving my house from of all the humidity! Maybe I should have stuck with the beanie? lol There's always a million vendors and sellers around my house and I purchased this beanie for just 5 bucks! I love sharing bargain buys with you guys!
