I started off the first day of summer with a yoga session in the middle of Times Square! Every year Times Square and performance apparel brand Athleta join to celebrate the summer solstice with a day of yoga classes in Times Square. Not only do they provide free yoga classes all day, they also give away so many goodies like yoga mats, coconut water, snack bars, and magazines! This is my second time attending and I must say, although it takes place in one of the busiest locations in the world, it is one of the most peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating experiences! I feel empowered, blessed, and grateful to live in such an amazing city and the opportunity to soak in the incredible energy of the city while doing yoga is pretty awesome! It was the perfect way to welcome in the summer season and I can't wait to do it again next year!

The weekend brought about really pleasant weather in NY so my sister and I took our usual stroll through Central Park! Surprisingly the lake was completely frozen but it still looked so beautiful! I always enjoy coming here to just relax and take in the scenery. I didn't want to leave and I plan on spending a lot of my spring and summer days soaking in the sunshine right in this little spot. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I've been taking a much more minimalistic and simple approach to fashion, beauty, and makeup. I really love a more natural, easy, and effortless look and this also applies to the jewelry and accessories I've been adding to my outfits lately. The ever so sweet Riccilee sent me over these beautiful necklaces and a gold bracelet that work perfectly with everything I wear and compliment every outfit! The dainty spike necklace, Ellie necklace, and coil chain bracelet are my everyday pieces that I wear to add just the right touch to each one of my looks. I'm so obsessed with them and I've worn them every day since they arrived in the mail! Make sure to check out her shop for all the lovely and unique handmade pieces that you are sure to love!

Casual Glam!

These photos were taken last week when it was a little warmer. I finally caved and bought myself a pair of boyfriend denim shorts. I haven't worn denim shorts since I was a teen and I'm definitely a little late on the trend considering it's now fall lol but I'm sure the trend will stick around for awhile!

Last week all of us headed downtown after Project NYC to meet up with Corey Shapiro who happened to be in town for a few days. If you aren't familiar with Corey, he is the founder of Vintage Frames and works with everyone from Rick Ross to Amber Rose. He has made a name for himself in the fashion/accessories industry as a stylist as well as in the world of Hip Hop by working with so many renowned artists. I was able to get a close look at all the goods including vintage sunglasses and jewelry that are exclusive to the Vintage Frames Company. Jordan Boyea, who owned Steez in Vermont, introduced my boyfriend and I to Corey a few years ago and we've been in love with Vintage Frames ever since. Accessory designers Coco and Breezy also showed up to meet with Corey to talk glasses and I was able to get a firsthand look at their Omorose collection! It was great to finally meet Coco and Breezy for the first time after admiring their hardwork and dedication for so long. I love that you can see how much they've grown and evolved with their new collection. Being in a room full of hard-working individuals who do what they love was pretty inspiring and proves that anyone can make their dreams come true. I guess accessories really do make the outfit! ;)
