Tis' the Season for the Beanie!

Beanie hats are ALL over the place lately! They are one of the biggest trends this season and everyone from men and women are making these cute hats a Fall staple! I personally love beanie hats. I think they add a cool factor to every outfit and add a bit of effortlessness to anything you wear. Not only that but they keep you warm which is obviously a plus lol. I wear my beanie hats practically every day! I purchased the beanies I wear on ASOS, Forever 21, and even from a street seller. Look trendy and keep warm at the same time with this cute accessory!

Central Park Sunday!

This Sunday I headed on over to Central Park to enjoy the spring-like weather we are having in NYC! It was absolutely heavenly out and as usual my jaunt in the park turned into an impromtu mini photoshoot. As all of you are probably aware of by now, I am a HUGE fan of GoJane! Almost every one of my posts features an item from their online store! They have incredibly awesome pieces at such affordable prices! The newest addition to my GoJane fall boot collection are these lace up rust colored chunky heel booties I'm wearing sent over by the lovely folks over at GoJane! I was so excited to wear these and they are the perfect fall boot for every girl who wants to rock a comfortable heel this season! They can be worn so many different ways and are so easy to style. You can wear them with slouchy pants, jeans, or even with a cute skirt and a pair of knee highs! GoJane is my go-to place for all my fall essentials! Hope you enjoyed the photos!

Dress for Less!

Peplum is so big this season in every way! It can compliment any woman's shape because it accentuates the waist and hides any bulge. Kim Kardashian was recently seen in Rome with Yeezy wearing a long sleeve green peplum dress by Lanvin! As I was doing some online browsing/shopping on Go Jane as I always am, I came across this cute peplum green dress that is oh so similar to Kim's! As soon as I laid eyes on it, it reminded me so much of the Lanvin dress she wore in Rome! I love that it's such a perfect color for the fall season and even more perfect for a holiday party. I love finding great pieces for less and Go Jane is my go-to site for this! I like that it's not exactly the same as Kim's and has a longer piece of fabric in the front to add a little extra something different. Gotta love peplum!

Fun Fall Trend: Moto Jackets

I absolutely love moto jackets! They are so badass and turn every outfit into total perfection! Leather is huge this fall and what better way to work the leather trend than with a dope jacket? Biker jackets are timeless and you can literally wear them with any outfit! They can toughen up a really feminine outfit like Taylor Tomasi Hill did in the bottom right photo or complete a really grungy look by adding the right touch. I also love the fact that both women and men can wear them because I do love my menswear. Solange wore a really cool white leather jacket that is most certainly a must-have and you can even layer it up or throw a hoodie on underneath when it's really cold out. I adore my leather jacket that I purchased this fall at H&M. I might even say I wear it TOO much! hehe

Have Fun with Neon!

Neon has been a HUGE trend this year and I can't get enough of it! We have seen it everywhere from clothes to bags and shoes and the trend seems to be staying around for a lonnnng time! Kim Kardashian was spotted wearing this fun neon dress while Jason Wu sent this gorgeous gown down the runway for his Spring 2012 runway show! My faves are neon green and neon pink right now but I just love any shade of it really. If you were rocking it this summer, you can definitely incorporate those summer pieces into your fall wardrobe like I did with my neon green sweater from Forever 21! Don't be color shy and have fun this season by adding some serious color to your wardrobe!

Sunny Sunday!

I spent the entire day with my younger sis accompanying her to a highschool open house and walking around the city enjoying the gorgeous weather we had yesterday! I wore a light jacket but made sure to wear a heavy scarf to keep me warm. This was probably one of my most comfortable outfits and it was perfect for strolling around the city. Hope you like!

The Denim Jacket!

I have always been in love with denim jackets! You can wear them in the Spring and Fall and they go perfect with almost anything. They add a cool factor to your outfit and what's best is you can add studs and pins or even rip them up to turn them into your own little DIY project. Kanye West and Kate Lanphear are obviously fans of denim and who wouldn't be with so many variations of the trend. They come in so many different shades and you can find them everywhere. A few years ago I purchased a denim jacket in a light wash from H&M that I'm still obsessed with and wear all the time. Shortly after I purchased it I saw photos of Kim Kardashian with the exact same jacket on! My most recent denim purchase as you can see on the bottom left in the photo was from the Salvation Army thrift store for only 2 dollars! It's a darker blue and says Planet Hollywood on the back and looks really old school just the way I like it ;) Proof that you can find a good denim jacket anywhere!

Retro Chic

It was so cloudy and gloomy out today so I figured I should thrown on some really bright colors to liven things up a bit! I loved the fact that it was a little chilly and I still managed to wear really vibrant colors that weren't the usual dark, muted colors you see during the fall. I finished off the look with platforms and my favorite retro orange sunnies!

Hanging by the Hudson

I always love relaxing or going for a run by the Hudson River and the Intrepid when the weather is nice! It's very close to my home and since the weather is soon to change I figured I take a little walk and hang by the pier and enjoy the scenery. Looking out over the Hudson and New Jersey is always pleasant and the atmosphere is always so serene.

Brunch at STK!

My sister and I headed over to STK in the Meatpacking District to have brunch on Sunday afternoon. The weather was BEYOND perfect so we had to take advantage of a little rooftop action before it starts getting cold out. The food was absolutely amazing and I'm glad I finally made it there after wanting to go all summer. I decided to mix a little summer and fall into my ensemble for the day! Hope you like!

Fun Fall Trend: Varsity Jackets!

Varsity jackets are a timeless piece in my opinion. I absolutely love them and think they add a cool factor to any oufit! Kim was recently seen wearing one at the Louise Goldin Spring 2013 fashion show at Milk Studios in New York City. She wore it with heels of course and that's exactly how I have worn mine before! You can also wear them with sneakers, flats, brogues, and oxfords as well. Taylor Swift was recently seen in one and my personal favorite fashion editor Miroslava Duma has also been spotted wearing one! I own a varsity jacket in navy blue and white that I purchased last fall in a size small in the men's section of H&M in LA and I definitely plan to throw it on this fall. If you can't find a female one in your size, you can always buy a men's one in a size small and I promise you it will look perfect! Urban Outfitters has great varsity jackets for both men and women and make sure to check out Forever 21 for plenty of inexpensive options! Thrift stores and vintage shops always carry these kinds of jackets as well if you're looking for something special that probably only you will have! The last time I was in LA, American Vintage on Melrose Ave had tons of them and the Salvation Army and Goodwill here in NY are sure to carry a few!
