On our second day in LA, I dragged my boyfriend up to Beverly Hills to take pics in front of the Beverly Hills sign. I have pics in front of it from my very first time on the west coast, but I wanted to take some more updated ones lol or at least ones with a better outfit! hehe Afterwards we stopped by this really awesome store called Joy Rich that a girl we met told us about and I instantly fell in love! Can the jacket and shorts be any more badass?! I have to say I really liked everything in the store and if you haven't checked them out their Melrose Avenue location yet, you most definitely should!

LA Delay!
At this very moment I was supposed to be on a flight to LA, but as you all probably know, Hurricane Sandy has swept through NY and caused major havoc on transportation, travel, and pretty much everything else. Then I received that dreaded email that my flight was cancelled. I was majorly bummed to say the least. Now I leave tomorrow afternoon but I guess I must see it as the universe at work. Maybe for whatever reason I'm supposed to be in NY right now. Luckily my entire family and myself are doing just fine. Considering I live in a high rise building in Times Square, I haven't had to deal with power outages and flooding. I feel very blessed to have gotten through this storm safe and sound and I'm praying for anyone who has had a rough time through all this and the people and families who were affected by this hurricane. Fortunately the storm has died down and I get to say farewell to NY tomorrow for a few sunny days. My schedule is going to be a little tight while I'm out there but I'm sure I can schedule in a couple of things so feel free to email me at michellejailine@gmail.com.

TMZ Tour Bus, Lunch at Villa Blanca, and Nami Spring 2012 Fashion Show!
( H&M green sheer button down, black lace shorts from a melrose boutique, steve madden platforms)
My boyfriend is a major TMZ fan, so I promised him I would book us a tour on the TMZ tour bus! The tour wasn't really what I expected but I guess it's because we've seen everything on our own already the other two times we've been to Cali. lol Everytime we would pass one of the celebrity hotspots or top restaurants the tour guide would say how hard it was to get in and we would look at each other like um no it's not lol We still had a blast and it was nice for Peter to sit back and enjoy the ride since he's always driving us everywhere we need to go. We did see Pat Riley on the way and of course no one noticed but Peter and he yelled and pointed him out lol One place we had never seen on our own was Villa Blanca! I love the Beverly Hills Housewives show and Lisa Vanderpump (who is the owner of the restaurant). After the tour was over we drove over to Villa and had lunch. After our long day, we still had to make it to the Nami Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show. I'm so glad we still found the eneergy to make it to the show because it was definitely one of my faves! The clothes were very flowy and there were a lot of basic, neutral, and solid colors that everyone can incorporate into their wardrobe. I would definitely wear the pieces that were seen on the runway!

Dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills!
I just came back from LA almost a week ago and I'm still catching up on sleep! My boyfriend and I flew out there for LA fashion week and to celebrate his birthday. My birthday was a few days before we left so I guess we were celebrating mine too ;) We had an awesome time! Everytime we go out there I have the time of my life! I literally come alive! The first day we got there we checked out the shops on Melrose, had lunch at Joan's on Third, and went to Mastro's Steakhouse for Peter's bday dinner. If you ever go to Joan's you must have the strawberry banana smoothie! It's so good! It's whipped and a little thick so it's a little more fun to drink than your average smoothie. I also had a banana walnut muffin which was yummy! After that we checked into our hotel and settled in. Our reservations for dinner were at 9 so we headed out to Beverly Hills. The restaurant, the staff, and the food was pure perfection! I ordered salmon with steamed broccoli and Peter ordered a 100 dollar steak (yes i said a 100 dollar steak) with macaroni and cheese. Their macaroni and cheese is the best I've ever tasted in my life hands down. I'm not even kidding you. They even brought out a free birthday cake for Peter! Amazing! The staff was so polite and kind. I will return to Mastro's EVERY time I go to cali. For those curious, my wide leg jumpsuit is from Forever 21. Good food, good company, good times!
