On the second day of Style Fashion Week, I attended Project Ethos at Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood! There were so many designers showing their collections at this fashion event but the main one I was really excited to see was Michael Costello! I've been such a fan of his designs for a while now and he makes the most beautiful gowns. His dresses are worn by beauties like Lilly Ghalichi and Sarah Stage and I was so happy to see these beautiful women that I admire so much walk the runway for one of my favorite designers! Unfortunately the photos didn't come out too clear because the lighting was really bad but I was still super happy to be there and witness so many of his amazing pieces on the runway!

The first show I attended for Style Fashion Week at Vibiana was the Ina Soltani Fashion Show. The collection had a very chic yet tough feel to it! I loved the gorgeous gowns, the cutouts, and leather accents that made the looks glam and badass at the same time! I love to mix girly yet tougher more edgier pieces together so I definitely loved all the looks! I allowed my outfit to work from day to night by adding heels and a men's blazer for the show! During the daytime I was all about comfort so I wore my new metallic sandals from Forever 21 that are super comfortable and easy to walk in to do some shopping at the 3rd street Promenade. Making a few changes to your original outfit makes things so much easier especially when you're on the go!

LA Delay!

cali

At this very moment I was supposed to be on a flight to LA, but as you all probably know, Hurricane Sandy has swept through NY and caused major havoc on transportation, travel, and pretty much everything else. Then I received that dreaded email that my flight was cancelled. I was majorly bummed to say the least. Now I leave tomorrow afternoon but I guess I must see it as the universe at work. Maybe for whatever reason I'm supposed to be in NY right now. Luckily my entire family and myself are doing just fine. Considering I live in a high rise building in Times Square, I haven't had to deal with power outages and flooding. I feel very blessed to have gotten through this storm safe and sound and I'm praying for anyone who has had a rough time through all this and the people and families who were affected by this hurricane. Fortunately the storm has died down and I get to say farewell to NY tomorrow for a few sunny days. My schedule is going to be a little tight while I'm out there but I'm sure I can schedule in a couple of things so feel free to email me at michellejailine@gmail.com.
