Shopping on Melrose and Alana Hale Spring/Summer 2012!

Peter and I did a little shopping on Melrose earlier that day and then after a quick change of shoes, we were off to another show at Ace Gallery! While I was there I met Teresa and Emily from The Style Map and Olivia Lopez from Lust for Life. They were all so sweet! Check out these photos of some of the designer installations and the Alana Hale spring fashion show!

I just came back from LA almost a week ago and I'm still catching up on sleep! My boyfriend and I flew out there for LA fashion week and to celebrate his birthday. My birthday was a few days before we left so I guess we were celebrating mine too ;) We had an awesome time! Everytime we go out there I have the time of my life! I literally come alive! The first day we got there we checked out the shops on Melrose, had lunch at Joan's on Third, and went to Mastro's Steakhouse for Peter's bday dinner. If you ever go to Joan's you must have the strawberry banana smoothie! It's so good! It's whipped and a little thick so it's a little more fun to drink than your average smoothie. I also had a banana walnut muffin which was yummy! After that we checked into our hotel and settled in. Our reservations for dinner were at 9 so we headed out to Beverly Hills. The restaurant, the staff, and the food was pure perfection! I ordered salmon with steamed broccoli and Peter ordered a 100 dollar steak (yes i said a 100 dollar steak) with macaroni and cheese. Their macaroni and cheese is the best I've ever tasted in my life hands down. I'm not even kidding you. They even brought out a free birthday cake for Peter! Amazing! The staff was so polite and kind. I will return to Mastro's EVERY time I go to cali. For those curious, my wide leg jumpsuit is from Forever 21. Good food, good company, good times!

LA ALL DAY!

I just came back from LA a week ago and I had the most amazing time! Everyone kept telling me that maybe I wouldnt like it or it wouldnt be for me but they couldnt have been more wrong! I fell in love with LA. It felt like a mix of New York, Miami, and Vermont in my opinion. I had so much fun and got to see my good friend Ryan while I was out there! My boyfriend and I went out there to visit for our birthdays and we definitely made the most out of our trip. We shopped at the vintage stores on melrose, checked out rodeo drive, went bike riding through venice beach, went to club My House and Drai's at the W hotel, and ate at Katsuya, Beso, and STK. We also came across a few random thrift stores where i found a knit sweater for $8 bucks and a shearling vest for only $10 bucks! What a steal! While cruising around we spotted a vintage car show going on and it was unlike anything we've ever witnessed! And right across the street i discovered this little vintage glasses store called Cateye Vintage Spectacles that left me in awe! While at Venice we walked right into a photoshoot that was going on so i had to get a photo of that! Not only that, but every morning I would wake up to see the Hollywood sign right outside my window! What a great view to wake up too! lol Peter and I went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and I had an iced drink called cinnamon french toast and it blew my socks off! Sooooo good! and dont even get me started on In-n-Out burger! On our last day we went to Millions of Milkshakes and I tried the Kim K milkshake (I know what a shocker!) and I almost melted! Beyond good! LA I will be back soon!
