Simply Made in Manhattan Makeup Event!

On Tuesday evening, my sisters and I attended the Simply Made in Manhattan event to watch our friend MUA Jae teach a makeup class! She is so talented and it was so fun to watch her work her magic up close and personal. She is definitely a true artist in every way and we learned makeup tricks we had never even heard of before. There was even a table full of cupcakes, fashion magazines, and goodie bags for all the guests to take home! Golden Girl

I've been taking a much more minimalistic and simple approach to fashion, beauty, and makeup. I really love a more natural, easy, and effortless look and this also applies to the jewelry and accessories I've been adding to my outfits lately. The ever so sweet Riccilee sent me over these beautiful necklaces and a gold bracelet that work perfectly with everything I wear and compliment every outfit! The dainty spike necklace, Ellie necklace, and coil chain bracelet are my everyday pieces that I wear to add just the right touch to each one of my looks. Sunday Sweetness!

My sister Skye and I took a little walk through Central Park on our way to Laduree for a Sunday treat. I haven't been to this side of the park in a really long time so we stopped to take some pictures and soak in the scenery. I've been on a mission to explore my city in a whole new way and everyday I fall in love with it more and more. A Very Special Birthday!

I just want to thank everyone again for wishing me a happy birthday!!! I had such a wonderful bday and I feel so lucky to have spent it with the people I love! Casual Glam!

These photos were taken last week when it was a little warmer. I finally caved and bought myself a pair of boyfriend denim shorts. I haven't worn denim shorts since I was a teen and I'm definitely a little late on the trend considering it's now fall lol but I'm sure the trend will stick around for awhile!

New York City Sunsets!

On Friday evening I stopped by the pier with my sister and my niece to watch the beautiful sunset and I was completely overcome with a sense of peace. The energy was so calm and peaceful that I didn't want to leave. This is one of favorite places to come and relax and meditate or reflect. It reminded me of how much I love my city and all of its wonderful settings!

NYFW Day 1!

The first day of New York fashion week was filled with tons of freebies, lots of fashion, and loads of fun! My sisters and I stopped by the Allure Lounge right by The Empire Hotel where attendees were able to get free manicures, blow-outs, and gift bags to get them through the busy week looking fabulous! Afterwards we ran across the street to Lincoln Center where we snagged free green juices sponsored by Marie Claire and Juice Generation that were being handed out of a truck to all the fashionistas ready to start their day. I even spotted EIC of Lucky Magazine Eva Chen heading into Lincoln Center! Later on in the evening, my sister and I attended the VEVO fashion week event held at the Skylight Modern where there was an open bar and musical performances all night! BFF Nights with Piperlime, Popsugar, and Aimee Song!

Last Wednesday I attended BFF Nights hosted by Aimee Song of Song of Style at Piperlime in Soho! There was champagne, hor d'oeuvres, free tote bags, and so many amazing shoes! I particularly fell in love with a pair of blue SCHUTZ sandals with gold detailing that I've been seeing on so many girls lately. While looking through the racks of clothes, I picked out a white leather top that caught my eye and it happened to be one of Aimee's top picks! hehe There was such a long line of girls waiting to chat with her so I didn't get a chance to say hello but I still had an awesome time nonetheless and I can't wait until she hosts another event in NYC! I wore my favorite black jumpsuit from ASOS and one of my favorite pairs of earrings from Forever 21. Hope you all enjoy your week!

Crop Tops and Top Knots!

I really really realllly love wide leg pants! I think they are so chic and comfortable and I always love to pair them with crop tops. I've been wearing this Forever 21 crop top quite a bit lately. I love the high neck and since it's black it works with everything. I've been wearing my hair in a bun/topknot and a ponytail a lot lately since it's been extremely warm out this week.
