Last week all of us headed downtown after Project NYC to meet up with Corey Shapiro who happened to be in town for a few days. If you aren't familiar with Corey, he is the founder of Vintage Frames and works with everyone from Rick Ross to Amber Rose. He has made a name for himself in the fashion/accessories industry as a stylist as well as in the world of Hip Hop by working with so many renowned artists. I was able to get a close look at all the goods including vintage sunglasses and jewelry that are exclusive to the Vintage Frames Company. Jordan Boyea, who owned Steez in Vermont, introduced my boyfriend and I to Corey a few years ago and we've been in love with Vintage Frames ever since. Accessory designers Coco and Breezy also showed up to meet with Corey to talk glasses and I was able to get a firsthand look at their Omorose collection! It was great to finally meet Coco and Breezy for the first time after admiring their hardwork and dedication for so long. I love that you can see how much they've grown and evolved with their new collection. Being in a room full of hard-working individuals who do what they love was pretty inspiring and proves that anyone can make their dreams come true. I guess accessories really do make the outfit! ;)

I attended Project NYC this week all thanks to my good friend Jordan Boyea of Slate and Stone. It was the first time I was able to experience Project and I was not at all disappointed. Most of the brands and companies were completely new to me and it was fun to talk with the exhibitors and learn a little bit more about the brands. Shaun Ross and A$AP Ferg were just some of the faces I ran into while at the trade show and I had loads of fun chatting with everyone and checking out all the menswear. There were, however, a few brands that most definitely grabbed my full attention. I had already been a bit familiar with Civil but after checking out their booth I'm completely in love with the brand. Sexy, edgy, and trendy are just a few words to describe this awesome line and if you haven't checked out their stuff you are totally missing out! Another favorite from Project was a menswear line called Sir and it stole my heart at first glance. Fashion-forward and innovative, this line is everything I'm into right now. Although it is a menswear line, I can see myself wearing every piece. I've been wanting to add a whole lot of black into my wardrobe and these dark, yet textured pieces are exactly what I've been looking for. Slate and Stone has become a huge favorite of mine as well and I still can't get over all of their high-quality menswear! Camo jackets, suits, and turtleneck sweaters provide the perfect mix of trendy yet classic and essential pieces that every man needs in his closet. Project was a perfect display of menswear at its finest and I look forward to attending it again!

I always love taking a walk over by the Hudson River just to take in the scenery. It's a great place to just relax, especially during the summer. Over the weekend, I stopped by to take some photos by the Intrepid. I threw my cropped faux fur jacket over my faux leather jacket to keep me extra warm. I bought this fur at a Necessary Clothing boutique in Soho about 3 or 4 years ago and it's definitely one of my favorite pieces in my closet.

On Friday I had a few errands to run during the day before I attended the Bulls vs. Knicks game in the evening with my boyfriend and his buddies. My boyfriend is really good friends with Joakim Noah so he always gets tickets to all his games and stays after to chat with him at the end. I wore my beanie and shades in the daytime and decided to go beanie-less for the game and fix my hair up a little. It was a total waste of time, however, because my hair fell flat within five minutes of leaving my house from of all the humidity! Maybe I should have stuck with the beanie? lol There's always a million vendors and sellers around my house and I purchased this beanie for just 5 bucks! I love sharing bargain buys with you guys! XOXO
